Beavers

Beaver Scouts is open to members aged between 6 and 8 years old.

Beaver Scout activities are based around the 6 challenge badges that form part of the Chief Scout Bronze award, the highest award a Beaver Scout can achieve. The 6 challenges revolve around Adventures, the Outdoors, developing new Skills, learning about the World, working at a Team, and Personal development.

As a Beaver, your child may have the opportunity to spend nights away on activities such as camps and sleepovers, and to take part in trips to attractions across the country. They will often take part in events with other Beaver colonies giving them the chance to make new friends.

Our main aim is to introduce them to the family of Scouting by having fun, making friends and learning #SkillsForLife.

Our Beaver Scouts run on a Monday evening between 6pm and 7pm

Beavers’ uniform and badge placement

The Beaver uniform consists of a blue sweatshirt with your badges sewn on and a coloured scarf or ‘necker’ to represent your local group.

Below is an image that will help you with the placement of badges on your Beaver Scout uniform.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
