Fundraising
Fundraising plays a vital role in helping our Scout Group thrive and grow. It enables us to provide young people with life-changing opportunities, from adventurous outdoor activities to leadership development and community service. The funds raised support everything from essential equipment to the maintenance of our meeting spaces and the facilitation of events.
Your support through fundraising helps ensure that Scouting remains accessible to all, regardless of financial background, allowing every young person to benefit from the unique experiences and skills that Scouting offers. Together, we can continue to inspire, empower, and nurture the next generation of leaders.
We run a program of fundraising activities and events:
Christmas Fair
Join us for our much-loved Annual Christmas Fair, a festive celebration that brings together our community for a day of fun and holiday spirit. The fair features a delightful array of handmade crafts, exciting games, a raffle with fantastic prizes, and delicious cakes and treats. It’s the perfect opportunity to pick up some unique gifts, enjoy festive activities, and support our Scout Group.
This event is one of our key fundraisers, and all proceeds go directly to supporting our local Scouting activities. Whether you’re looking for a fun family day out or simply want to contribute to a great cause, our Christmas Fair has something for everyone.
Scarecrow Trail
Our Annual Scarecrow Trail is a fun, family-friendly event that brings creativity and community spirit to life. Local participants create and display their scarecrow designs, and for a small fee, they are listed on the official trail map. Visitors are then invited to walk the trail, enjoy the imaginative displays, and vote for their top three scarecrows.
In addition to the trail, we open our Scout Hut for refreshments and other side activities, making it a perfect day out for all ages. This event is a great way to explore the local area, support our Scout Group, and enjoy a day of creativity and fun. All proceeds go directly to supporting Scouting activities in our group.
