Christmas Fair

Every year as the festive season begins, our Scout Hut comes alive with the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas for the Stockton on the Forest Scouts Christmas Fair. It has become a much-loved tradition in our village and a chance for families, friends, and neighbours to gather together and celebrate the season.

There’s something for everyone to enjoy. Children (and grown-ups too!) can have a go at our fun games, try their luck on the tombola, and enter our raffle packed with fantastic prizes kindly donated by local businesses. Our young people put their creativity on display with beautiful handmade crafts, which make wonderful gifts or keepsakes. And of course, no Christmas Fair would be complete without plenty of delicious cakes, bakes, and festive treats, all served with a warm cup of tea or coffee.

More than just an afternoon of festive fun, the Christmas Fair is also our biggest fundraising event of the year. The money we raise goes directly towards keeping Scouting affordable and accessible for local families. It helps us buy equipment, maintain our Scout Hut, and offer exciting programmes of activities and adventures that give young people the chance to learn new skills, grow in confidence, and make memories that last a lifetime.

The fair is usually held in late November at our Scout Hut, and it’s always a highlight of the year for us and for the wider community. The support we receive — from local businesses donating prizes, to volunteers baking cakes, to everyone who comes along on the day — means so much, and we are always grateful.

If you’d like to get involved in this year’s fair, whether by helping out on the day, donating a prize, or contributing cakes and bakes, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch through our contact form.
