Cubs

Cub Scouts is open to members aged between 8 and 10 ½ years old.

Cub Scout Activities are based around the 7 challenge badges that form part of the Chief Scout Silver award, the highest award a Cub Scout can achieve. The 7 challenges revolve around enhancing and developing new Skills: taking a greater interest in the Outdoors, taking part in lots of new Adventures, both working as and leading a Team and learning about the World we all live in.

As a Cub Scout, your child may have the opportunity to take part in camps and sleepovers, as well as taking trips to attractions across the country. We regularly meet up with other Cub packs to enhance the experience and allow them to make new friends.

Within the pack, our aim is to guide and encourage the Cubs to build up their confidence to push themselves outside of their comfort zones, allowing them to become more independent, and providing them with knowledge and #SkillsForLife.

Our Cub Scouts run on a Tuesday evening between 6:45 pm and 8:15pm.

Cubs uniform and badge placement

The Cub uniform consists of a green sweatshirt with your badges sewn on and a coloured scarf or ‘necker’ to represent your local group.

Below is an image that will help you with the placement of badges on your Cub Scout uniform.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
